why Strength Effect?

Before becoming a fitness professional I learned the tough lesson that  living an unbalanced life can wreak havoc on the body, mind and spirit. I got into exercise to feel better and be healthy and later I became a coach to help others on their own personal health and fitness journeys.

Working for  years in NYC  I have extensive experience within the fitness landscape. I’ve led and participated in countless workshops and competitions, trained hundreds of clients from all manner of backgrounds, worked in numerous studios across the burroughs from dark  basement  black boxes to luxury high-rises and  old-school iron gyms to the latest en vogue boutiques.

Personally, I have been fortunate to work with dedicated clients with a broad range of goals such as running a marathon, competing in powerlifting, improving body composition, getting stronger and performing a pull-up.  Playing a part in their personal fitness journeys  provides me a great sense of purpose and satisfaction.

Professionally, I recognized that popular fitness culture even in apparently “high-end establishments” doesn't always make the mark when it comes to providing the most current  and accurate information about exercise and nutrition.  I've also observed  many trainers lack the foundational knowledge, personal fitness and experience in coaching to address the needs of a sophisticated clientele.  This type of clientele prefer sustainable results in athletic performance, strength, body-composition, mobility and cardiovascular stamina and are less interested in flashy exercises, popularized by marketeers.

These experiences led me to start Strength Effect for the purpose of offering science-based, field-tested personal training, strength and conditioning and continuing education for fitness professionals to better serve our clients and reach a  broader community of fitness enthusiasts and professionals.
